I'm not scheduled to be down there for a few more months myself.
Great price, poor logistics for me.

Sell it before I get down there of course.
If your deal is still available (doubt it) when I get back, we will meet & have a good deal between us (maybe a beer or two also).
Anybody that can get there, and walk by this good sale,,,,, is missing a good deal.

Aye, not into the spirits yet, had to work for 2 days. Hate it when that happens.

Hoping some white knight will show up on my doorstep with cash in hand so I don't have to palletize the anchor rode, then ship it.

(Not sure I need a forklift type pallet. The whole bundle weighs about 55 lbs or so, perhaps a cardboard box will do? I have a FedEx ground account and usually get a 20% discount there, will call and check.)

Or for faster service Mr. 1000 Islands, why don't you check with FedEx ground what it cost to ship 60 lbs, including the cardboard box, from my town to yours. Then add $15 for a sturdy box and some tape.

(Faster than waiting for the spirits to find me :D)

We chat on the web like were next to each other and forget, our friends are on the other end of the country or the other side of the world. Exchanging physical items does tose some cold water in from time to time (hate it when that happens).
Weight in somebodys else's (for hire) truck is expensive. Logistics for us lil guys does get a good slap in from time to time.

I know it's a great deal,,,, if we were in the same town.

    Keep trying everybody,
    rc

    Huh..

$1,000.00 for shipping 60 lbs of line via surface?

Nah, you probably got an air express quote.
Will look into it from my end. Guessing $120.00.

Stay tuned, the spirits are getting closer

That was Fed Ex ground, but I think it was an overnight quote.

Aye Mate, FedEx ground is trucks and trains only, no overnight.
They are 2 different companies under the same umbrella.
I will check with them today or tomorrow. Will compress the line into a tight bundle, measure, then find a cardboard box in a matching size and will stop by FedEx to get a firm quote on the shipping charges, then send you a message or post it here. If we agree on something, a check in the mail will be fine, or also PayPal.
Then I will ship the line and give you a tracking number.

If in doubt buying from strangers on the Internet, check my eBay score:
    bigdagus, 100%
(Been shipping boat parts to France, Australia, Russia and other exotic places)
Thought I was going to retire, but my banker said not yet..:(

    Thx.

Got an estimate from Fed-Ex Ground:
I can pack, ship and buy the box and packing materials for a total of $90.

    Shipping time 4 days.
