Does anyone know the connection of grebe and trumpy? They are almost identical. Grebe had trumpy build him a runabout. I have the next to last Grebe built, 55ft flushdeck hull 195. I have always wondered. Both were magnificent vessels.

I am trying to remember, my father had a Grebe back in the 70's, but I believe the developer of one I think Grebe, worked for Trumpy.

I am not aware of any connection between John Trumpy and Sons of New Jersey & Annapolis and the Henry C. Grebe Company of Chicago. Both were builders of fine wooden yachts of a similar profile in the same era. Both built PT boats for the military. These two boat builders were competitors.

We've talked in the past, do you still have the boat in Decatur?
