Cool Fly away

This can be a nice solution when your yacht is too small for a heli

Well, not if your flight time is only 19 seconds. But the one set for civilian use will have a marked extended range.

Alternatively it could be the solution to a tedious guest, if properly covered in an appropriate material. "Yes sir, this is a required custom PFD.... those handles normally have a drink holder on them.. have another litre of whatever you've been drinking.."

Wonder what plan B is if ya run out of fuel at 1,000 feet..?

Did not see any parachutes on the pictures, but ya should have plenty of time to bend over and kiss yer arse goodbye on the way down..

1,000 feet? I thought that I ready that they said the 'ceiling' so to speak on it is under 300 feet?

Well, one of the versions have a jet engine instead of a rocket motor so they can fly higher and longer: Thought I saw 1,500 feet and 43 minutes, but their page is down right now.

Either way, if ya run out of juice @ 300 it is also a long way down and the glide-ratio on them things seems to be about the same as a rock...

Perhaps a water landing would be softer, but you would dunk the $200,000 toy in salt water, perhaps not ideal for a long reliability?

It looks fun however, but I would strap a big parachute to my arse, plus a spare one for good measure.
