There's a very interesting article at Wired.com about the possibility in the near future of supersonic executive jets. It looks to me that this idea is definitely the smarter, and more profitable, way to do it. Given the propensity for yachtsmen to enjoy their air-travel as much as their ocean travel I thought this would be something interesting to the readers.

There's always a demand for faster. As proof, try and get a reasonable build slot for a CitationX, the demand is there. To fly across the country the issue is going to be noise, just as it was for the Concorde. The noise issue will either make or break the utility and therefore the demand for a supersonic craft.
