Flying is for the Birds...

Flying is for the Birds!

These pics were sent by Neil Rooney. Unsure of the source. No further information was supplied.
The pics are self-explanatory.

And THIS is what a bird strike looks like from inside an A-10.

Logbook entry: "SMP/ almost hit TTM"

(Shxx My Pants, almost hit a Talkin Meat Missile(skydiver))

They get real big, real fast, when they do drops without notams or calls outside of designated drop zones.

It seems driving is for the birds too. The following pics were sent by a YF member who prefers to remain anonymous because he was reportedly exceeding 230 kmh when this happened. Damage was reported at 1200 Euros, but the potential tag-lines are priceless...

... Foul Play?
... Grilled Chicken?
... Bumper Sticker?

Sorry, pre-coffee attempt at humor. My bad.

The jet in the first series is a CL-604 I heard.

I haven't got the time to resize any pics today, but here's another set of images of a birdstrike on the nose of an Aussie F-111 Aarvardk.
