Big lift for this boat! I have actually owned a sailboat like that, it is made in Sweden in over 3.000 copies and called Maxi 77...

Neat boat Lars. Does the builder have photos on his web site that we can link to?

The sailboat? It was made between 1973 and -81. A Google will give you more on used ones.

Getting back to cars (this thread has gone in more directions than a mini-skirt in a room full of guys)...

This was one of my NSX's, and ofcourse the required r/c model of the same.

LMAO... lemme' guess... the pic was taken early-to-mid 90s. The small three-spokes give it away.

Is that a Sealine in the image? I noticed the canvas. That is a sealine trait.

Yep! Sure was. Good story behind this car too...

I was looking for a used NSX in 1997. (I never buy new) There were a few on the market, including the one seen above, but it had a problem... It only had 7,000 miles!

This was a BIG red flag. Much newer cars had 20K, 40K and 60K miles... yet this "old" NSX only had 7,000 miles, so in my skeptical mind something was wrong. I never went to see it because it had been modified, i.e. aftermarket Momo rims, sound system, computer chip, etc. I assumed it was owned by a young guy that drove it hard, or it had been wrecked, or they had turned back the miles.

WRONG!

When I finally called on the car out of curiosity (it had been for sale for many months), the owner invited me to see the car and promised "I would buy it on the spot if I was serious".

After pulling in to his driveway, I knew something wasn't right. I had still not seen the car. It was in the garage. But the house... had to be seen to be believed...

The house was a mansion directly on the ocean in Jupiter, Florida. It had a 6-car garage. When the garage door went up, they ALL went up together, revealing 4 Ferraris, 1 Lambo, and 1 NSX.

They were ALL red! They ALL had 3-spoke Momo Rims! They ALL had Clifford alarm systems. They ALL had killer blaupunkt stereo systems. They ALL had white sheepskin seat covers. And they were ALL perfect.

Then his wife walked into the garage. She had RED hair TOO and looked faster than any car in the garage. BTW... she was perfect too!

As it turns out... the guy owned a bus line out of New York City. He spent 3 months a year in Florida and rarely used the cars. They were all part of his "collection". He was selling the NSX to buy the new Viper, in RED ofcourse!

I drove away with a virtually new NSX... but I didn't get the girl!

Nice kart; quite a handfull those shiftjobs on short tracks, my neighbour was Dutch champion on 125cc. He had a factory unit, sponsored of course.
They also race in Europe with bigger transmission units then the one on your picture, lots of arodynamic extra features to stop them from flying and laptimes close to F1!

I found him with the leg in plaster, his worst accident ever after being a Formula 1 driver for both McLaren and Ferrari...

I'm intrigued as to who this is? There's a choice of a few big names there...

I can reduce your choices by saying he has won Le Mans 24 Hours as well..
