Very nice car, I once had an Alpina B9 based on that engine. It was more fun to drive than the 911.... |

You must have used a McLaren F1 then? I have made it from Paris with 150 km/h average speed and that was very fast at night. You made it with over 170 on an even longer trip, which is too fast to say the least! |

What can I say I have a need for speed, got a few friends doing the Gumball 3000 this year but at $70,000 per entry, im just hoping they invite me and one of them is in the process of buying an McLaren SLR, so maybe he'll beat me down to Monaco

Man! I'm so envious right now! Several reasons... one of which being the fact that my mate who paid most of the hire cost for the Z4 has gone out and bought one today! The 2.5 version! With the 'Sport' button!
Makes me all you people with your flash cars and your flash this, flash that!
I want it! lol
Anyway, to answer your question Jonny, yes, it was SO worth the money for the hire, even though i only paid a 5th of the cost (he's a 'rich solicitor type' according to the hire company staff ) We had an absolute blast playing with it and it felt real good driving around with the Mrs, top down, scarf on! I could certainly get used to it! On the other hand, my mate IS gonna get used to it! Lucky git! I can really recommend these weekend hires, great value for money!
