Hows the Z4 I was thinking about getting one, but want a TVR Cerbera. You need a better number plate tho! Im open to offers S27 JON ;o)

I guess I'll see you down at the London Show, and we can go round the Big Sunseekers!

Jonny.
In the words of Noel Edmonds: "Gotcha!"

Unfotunately the Z4 is not mine (yet!) A mate and me hired it this weekend just gone as we both share the same birthday. It is a fantastic machine, we had th 2.5 version, with 192bhp! And the 'Sport' button works a treat! Handeling is unbelievable, espicially with the 19/225 and 19/255 wheels front / rear! :P

Well, I can safely say I felt extremely smug thinking you guys all thought i owned it! Bah! Someday soon! Right now though, my mate is thinking of getting one (over a boxter & elise) and me, well i'm just thinking of getting a job! lol

It was nice while it lasted

I'll hold you to the London show Jonny! We can talk more motors there lol! I'll be in touch

Go ahead! I am always carrying my little Canon Ixus in a pocket.

Like two weeks ago when we were testing the new Volvo Penta D3, a 5 cylinder 190 hp diesel taken from the Volvo XC90 car.

It is more than 100 kg lighter than the V8 we usually have in our 25 foot commuter and as you see, it leaves a lot of working space around when fitted.

The result with three people and 100 l fuel was 41 knots top speed. Cruising speed 36 knots at 0.77 l/nm and economy speed 30 knots and 0.6 l/nm!

Not bad and I guess most people will now buy this package over the V8...

Hey MedRascal, show us your real view!

My only problme is that my digi-cam is bigger than pocket sized. I worry about leaving it in the car when the temp is below freezing. Incidentally, it's -17C here this morning... ugh. Plenty of white stuff should be on it's way soon.

Well, obviously given my name is not Price Albert, that obviously is not the view from my room!

But my office is in the Fontvieille area and oversees the little harbour... and the sunshine is the same...!

That got my attention too. First time I've seen a forklift used on a ramp. You have to question how deep the operator has so submerge the front tires to float the boat.... and provide sufficient clearance for the drives.

Lars, is this how they splashed the boat?

They started to use this for stacking boats in racks. They can also lift straight at the quay which is better for bigger boats.

Sorry, after a closer look at that pic, I see the edge of the seawall where the forklift would stop. I thought it was a ramp that tapered into the water.

This is a normal ramp, where they also use another machine where they lift the lower part to horizontal level to get the boat levelled and secured before taking it up. Coupled to a tractor as you can see, and the other pict is one of the forklifts stacking boats inside.
