These links aren't working in the US and Canada at the moment but are worth a look:-

youtube the following.... Evinrude Vs Yamaha

Or try The Times online search Yacht Eclipse

I know these are really rubbish ways of putting information out there but they are worth a bit of your effort.

Not entirely the same thing, but I prefer THIS use of the iPhone as a RC. No limited WiFi range, for starters...

Harley/Buell in trouble

Harley is to shut down the Buell Sportsbike arm of its business and that it has suffered a 20something % drop in sales. The Board said that it needs to concentrate on core business

MV Agusta, the Italian exotic Superbike builder is also up for sale. Who said we were coming out of recession?

You should always keep to what you know best. They went after another's market and had other's sneaking in their back door. Harley is Harley is Harley. It's Marlon Brando and Hell's Angels. They've got a core that will be with them forever if they're satisfied with their market share and don't get greedy. Let Kawa, Honda & Yama, etc. fight their battle. Even BMW seems to be over-reaching. They're the best touring bike. Period. I won't make shoes. Let the shoemaker keep his butt out of boats. There's been too much of everybody trying to do everything with low expectations. It's what happens when bean counters get involved.

Ed,

Err....Brando rode a Triumph in the Wild One.

Harley did actually make one sexy sports bike back in the old AMF days. It was the XLCR (Cafe Racer). A tuned XL flat-track motor in a taut Le Mans frame and bodywork. Utterly useless but looked beautiful and sounded like God sneezing with a heavy cold.

Our local Sergeant at Arms of the Back Patch Club rode one for years but swapped it for a Norton. What a mistake, Alpha Max, who was only 5'4" but 5' wide, looked such a tit on a classic Norton racer. The poor Harley got chopped by a Hell's Angel garage and ended up looking like one of Willie G's poor relations. What a waste of a good motor.

Sort of makes NASCAR look a bit whimpy. They might want to revisit their bumpdraft restriction.
The best is that these guys (and girls) couldn't stay on the nice clean sunny road....so let's try in the dark and snow.

A little bondo, and that will buff right out.

Nice post! There's a few rally car race shops and fabricators that have some job security in there!
