Leaving the water world and taking to the air this week. I'll be in Oshkosh through Thursday attending the EAA Air Ventures Fly-In, gathering information for a new build. Flying was a big part of my life before YF. If all goes well, I'm going to return to flying, but my instrument panel will be vB based. More on this later. Much work to be done. Lars and Kevin have the wheel. Or is that a yoke?
I'm getting PM's from people asking what I'm buying? One answer for all... Nuthin'! YF ain't makin' enuff to go fly a kite! But i am building something new. I hope it takes off! More on this later...
hoping to make it down if I can get time off. Always a good time in Oshkosh. Don't even know what the major draw is this year. I still remember the concord being there. That was very impressive.
Thanks for jogging what little is left of my post half-century memory Loren. While dragging my tail around Oshkosh, I came across one of Marmot's favorite tail draggers, a StarDuster Two. I'm always keeping the YF crew in mind, even when I'm focused on PF and JF. Marmot, I have these pics in hi-res if you like...
While walking endless rows of Cessna 195's, the largest collection I've ever seen, I came across the Red Baron's wife...
Radials are sexy.... pretty much any airframe, modern or vintage, can be made prettier with a radial up front!
Back to the thread subject... ... for a minute. I'm in Orlando for a webmaster conference. Will be back late Friday eve and begin uploading Judy's review of the Nordy 63 for a Monday debut. Lars is out cruising the archipelagos this week, so Kevin's taking up the slack. Have a good week guys!
Carl, being just back from the air show, do you happen to remember the plane that won best in show? I thought you might find this amusing: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/44037919/ns/us_news/
