Welcome aboard Dockwise! Can you please get something going along the east coast? Say NY/NJ down to FL. Thanks
I was told that the first Scandinavian Voyage is planned for this summer. Starting in Marmaris, Turkey over to Palma de Mallorca and up to the Baltic and Stockholm! I am just thinking of the sensation to sail aboard in Stockholm and a couple of weeks later fly down to Turkey and sail off in the Med...! (Thanks to Catalina for the picture!)
Welcome Dockwise. Choose Dockwise, where the sinking feeling is good , only as long as its the Dockwise vessel!!! What is the yacht on the far left of the picture above??
Or even "What goes down must come up" or the name would be SubWise! How many vessels do they have operating and what are the predominant routes they use? Any further pics of them in action??
The yacht in the far left of the pic is Status Quo. I believe it was built as a Sovereign but was rebadged a Richmond when the yard changed hands. She was on her way to Tahiti here IIRC, and now should be in OZ or NZ. I do have some more dockwise pics from Golfito Costa Rica showing the vessel semi submerged (stern down) to let a few shallow draught yachts on and off the back. I will find them and resize and post them soon. I was going to post a link to their page with the fleet and itineraries but it seems to be missing. Anyone?
This thread is about Dockwise joining YachtForums and that you can click on their banner when it is up. But if you can´t find it, here is the Url; http://www.yacht-transport.com/
Hats off! Rarely do I consider it necessary, but in DYT's case, I make an exception. The people behind the concept deserve special recognition for their achievement: for their great insight in coming up with a truly useful service that no yacht-owner realised they even needed - and risking the capital to finance their first vessel! Now, if only I could come up with something just as good one day...?!

About to do my third trip with them in March. They are a great company to deal with!!! I assume they can't build the boats fast enough. nas
Absolutely right! I'm not sure I have ever encountered a whole company so good at what they do! Everyone involved is top notch right down to the crews of the ships!
Yotphix, thanks for the name of the yacht, as I couldn't work that one out!! Airship, I'm in full agreement!! They have a very risky line of work, not only because the weather can be bad on the loading - the trip and then the unloading. Top Banana!! Carl thanks for putting up the schedule, easy for other to have a look and then click through to DYT's site.
Dear CDdave: Due to the Jones Act, we are not allowed to go from one US port to another; same with Mexico. So, taking into consideration the demand you have mentioned above, you may want to take advantage of our Newport, RI to Freeport, Bahamas shuttle coming up in fall 2007. First time ever for Dockwise! We aim to please, so we welcome all suggestions. Smooth sailing, CatalinaDYT
I must tell you, I feel so blessed to work for such a WONDERFUL company! Just hearing your praises makes me feel that much more assured that we are doing a good job, and that's half the battle. Have to admit that I really enjoy working with DYT - everyone is SO nice here... and I am not promoting in any way, just being honest; it has enriched my life twofold and for that, I am grateful!!!!! Keep the comments coming - good or bad - we want to improve in any way we can! CatalinaDYT
Hi Catalina, When I was dreaming of transporting my little boat from the Baltic to the Med, it would need a coat of better antifouling since we are not allowed to use the best (worst) paint up here. Will this be a service you could consider to arrange during the transport since it will probably be too little time prior to unloading at arrival? /Lars
Dear Lars: You could perform maintenance or painting work while your yacht is drydocked on our yacht carrier. Please check with the loading master for logistincs next time you are onboard. Okey dokey? CatalinaDYT
