Sailing into the future comes a conceptual craft by Erik Sifrer called the “Green Jet”. The name represents wind and water, coupled with the technical merit of an aero-rig; all set into twin center pivot booms with chrome cones that give the illusion of turbines.
For main propulsion, there are two fully automated Aero-sails guided by hydraulic motors. Rigging is composed of a swept-back sail with an aerodynamically optimized, hard leading edge, flanked by two vertical arches supporting 58m high masts. The rigging forms a giant triangle viewed from forward or aft. For more on this Super Sailing Yacht, CLICK THE PIC!
