Thank you, I think it would be nice to have one myself..!
With aircond it would fit pretty well with the new market around Dubai and the islands, as well as in Florida. Also here in our archipelago. The different colour combinations are endless which makes it pretty fun too... |

Hi Lars,
In my opinion is the third combination (design & Color) absolute fantastic.
Still thinking about what she would look like in British racing green or Bordeaux red... |

Lars, the designs are very pleasing to the eye.
Then, in post #16, that yellow/black combined with the 'eyeballs' is a real looker, bordering on...the hotrod look.
I don't ever recall seeing anything like that on the water--you may be on to something here.
Only thing missing--for the hotrod genre taken to expected extremes--is a monster motor...something with a serious bark, like a two-stroke Detroit Diesel (RIP), plus requisite sidepipes, painted-on flames, and every buyer receives a white tee shirt with a pack of Camels rolled up in a sleeve.
Oh, yeah, almost forgot...the horn has to go "AAAAAHHHHOOOOOGGGAAAAAA!"

No wait... one step further...
"That thing got a Hemi?"
Picture it: Orange hull, 01 on the side, Confederate Flag on top.... and that horn! |

You are right Loren, the MoonEyes makes her an Hotrod. I even had them on my bicycle when i was a kid, together with the clip and cardboard to create a scaring sound...!
We´ll see if this concept will go ahead, it would be nice to have a model built to start with...
Edit; perhaps we should all have RC-models in our own colors, Kevins in orange then... |

Nah, I'd take black on black, with brushed alum stripe personally. No chrome, no polished alum... all carbon fiber or anodized "black" chrome.

Well, there you go, Lars-- I envision a whole fleet of the same basic 55 but differing from one another with custom stuff/paint jobs... the mind boggles at all the possibilities.

I envisage a much smaller version, about 8M to 9M, plying the canals of Venice, and other such places, as a waterborne limosine, pulling up to a jetty of a high class hotel or casino, a gentleman and his lady existing for a night at the high roller table. Powered by a pair of the new Volvos with the tractor dualprops and joystick control. Hell, even an electric version, a pair of podded drives with fly by wire, and Lithium ion polymer battery pack, with a quietened generator for longer trips, silently moving the elite between their homes and places of business and entertainment on the canals, which have speed restrictions anyway. As such it would make a good water taxi for a megayacht as well.

Hi Enigma,
The hybrid powered smaller version is also on my mind. I made another such concept in 2004, looking like this:

It hasn't the "look" of the former, I was thinking more waterborne retro water taxi/limo, maybe even with the driver/helm in the open in front of the enclosed cabin.

I have taken your black 55-footer and placed her as a tender to the 100 m "Teaser". She looks very small suddenly... |
