3d ShipArts design

Hello,

Here are my 2 latest designs. An 8.5 meter yacht tender done for a dutch company and a 150 meter yacht just for fun.
The 8.5 meter rib:

The 150 meter mega yacht: (still work in progress)

But I geuss there is a problem with the pilot house or not?
C&C is welcome

Wow, you took RIB design in a whole new direction! Very cool.

As for the megayacht, I'm probably too old a fuddy-duddy to comment on such an advanced concept. I would want some sort of side decks for the crew to use when docking. Not the streamlined sides shown here.

I'll ditto dbart9 on that! Amazing work. You encouraged feedback, so here goes...

The RIB is outstanding, especially your rendering skills, however you've got boarding steps on either side of the motor well and there doesn't appear to be access (that I can see) to these steps.

Still... great work!

Cool 3d ShipArts design

If the thread is still on I'd like first to congratulate with the out standing rendering job and second to ask which 3D modelling and rendering software are you currently using to achieve such results.

a reply wd be appreciated

Hi,

Thank you. I used 3ds max for modeling but I am currently using rhino, rhino is much better on modeling but 3ds max still wins for the rendering.

Here is my latest concept.

Humm, taking a lot of the window real estate out of a yacht does free up the design a whole bunch! Pretty cool concept ...

I like the design of the open tenders in the top of this page. They are reminiscent of Pascoe International's 10M tenders.. somewhat like the pair that the Maltese Falcon has. 3d ShipArts, did you get your inspiration from those tenders? None the less they are very nice designs and I commend and complement your achievement.

Thank you for the positive reactions. Its quite some time ago since I last posted here. But here is my beauty:

Highres:http://www.3dshiparts.com/Phantom II_2.jpg
Its based on the previous Phantom concept but the lack of daylight in the interior has faced some problems so I re-designed it. Its still a work in progress but I have tried to add daylight and give the yacht a bit extra agression. Please dont mind the lack of portholes in the hull. This will be added when I have finished the layout.

And here is a quick 3d sketch of the yacht.

The base of the radar mast with the doors in it will be different in the final design. This is just a rough concept of it.

I hope you like it.

Very cool RIB. On the Phantom I'd like to see to LWL extended into an axebow.

Thnx, I have already changed the cad file and the axe bow is far more beautifull then the conventional bow but due the lack of spare time I haven't had a chance to change this in the photoshop file.
