The 45 m concept on the previous page has got a more traditional styling and grown to 48 m / 160 feet. Built in Alustar she can reach a cruising speed of above 20 knots. Interior is planned for up to 10 guests and 7 crew. An easy to handle yacht with low maintenance compared to many other recent yachts.

Neat. I get a big kick out of the interplay between the various bulwark/rail themes. In a different class from a lot of today's designs (which are to often a snore).

Wow!! Lars I have been looking at your work and the pictures are just amasing. I am designing a large sailing yacht and I hope it will be atleast close to as good as your designs. They probally wont be anywhere as good because I will probally only be using paint unless I can get some directions on some of tose programs. Oh and did I mention WOW!!!!!!

Thanks a lot, and here she is again with her shadow-yacht. In contrast to other shadows, this one is built in aluminium and powered as the mothership for cruising 20+ knots. The idea is to have two smaller yachts instead of one big, which allows for access to smaller ports and more shallow waters in Europe and the Caribbean. It also adds safety, security and flexibility, although they will probably use Dockwise for transoceanic crossings...

Just curious - why would the above need to be transported?

As a person who just started reading this forum, I second that. My favorite is the one with the harrier landing on the back, but the latest one which you said could possibly be a Feadship XL is very attractive. I wouldn't be surprised if somebody has it built. I know I would if I could.

The reason I would transport the twins above is that they are semidisplacement with MTU 4000 high performance engines and I rather save the hours of wear. Also important is that a crew on yachts running two seasons need some vacation, and having this while the yacht is transported is a good solution.

The D29 is slowly coming together, the mould for the hull is built and the first hull is finished. Deck plug is almost finished and also the roof. We are now starting to build the interior plugs, some with robots and some by hand. The glass wall aft is ordered, as is the windows, so if everything goes to plan, we might be finished in time for the Scandinavian Boatshow in early November...

Here are some pictures from the computer screen on the 3D-model in progress, it is always exciting to see it grow and then being transfered into reality...

This morning the first D29 left our factory to be at the Scandinavian Boat Show in Stockholm tomorrow night. It has been built in a very tight time-frame but as far as I know, all has worked out well thanks to the accuracy of CNC-made plugs för the moulds. Next is to see if she performs as predicted in the sea trials...

also it is a dry shot it looks very nice and fast - awaiting some sea trail shots

Thanks for bringing me luck!

She performed extremely well, came on plane without efforts and quick up to a top speed of 43 knots! Not bad for a pretty large 29-footer with a single VolvoPenta D4/300 hp diesel.

She was light on the wheel and light on the sea, very little wake and easy to make sharp turns with full control. Couldn´t have been better...

Now she is in her position at the Scandinavian Boat Show, opening tomorrow!
