Rayburn's New 92' Skylounge "Kathleen M"
After two weeks of cruising the BC Coast the captains and owners were very impressed by her sea kindly handling, performance and quiet stable ride. The owners and crew recalled a particular day they were running in 30-40 knot winds with about 4-5 foot chop and swell while the windows and decks stayed completely dry. This is also a very svelte hull notice the minimal bow spray and wake even though 12.5 knots would be considered beyond "hull speed" for a displacement vessel of this waterline length.
These running shots were performed at 12.5 and 18 knots, which would be her fast voyaging and fast cruising speed not her top speed. The load is about 3/4 of full load and there were 12 adult passengers on board. This is a fairly heavy structure built to ABS standards, considering her interior is very detailed and a lot of solid wood, she still came in at a modest 220,000 lbs. Reasonable considering this is a very large 92' x 23'beam. She is capable of 22 knots top speed and 3,000 nautical mile range @ 9 knots.
