| New Launch: Bloemsma & van Breemen - "Griffioen"
Bloemsma & van Breemen recently launched a trawler treat… the 27.31-meter “Griffioen”. Developed by Vries Lentsch Design, who was also responsible for the naval architecture, this long-range trawler features a modern and clean interior design by Felix Buytendijk.
Griffioen’s classic lines and retro canoe stern are set to kick-start a revival of the traditional De Vries Lentsch designs so beloved by many yachting aficionados, but with today’s materials, technologies and equipment. Griffioen’s hull and superstructure are all aluminum and built to Lloyds and MCA regulations.
Her extended range is the result of a single, 535 horsepower Kelvin powerplant running at a leisurely 1350 rpm. Transmitting the power is a Hundested VP9 adjustable prop. Two Northern Lights generators supply onboard power. An anchor stabilization system and hydraulic boarding platforms are among a few of her features. Griffioen also has a custom-designed De Vries Lentsch tender, which is launched via a hydraulic folding crane on the forward deck.
