New Launch: Mulder 59' Sliding Hardtop

New Mulder 59 Convertible hardtop delivered by Mulder Shipyard…

Voorschoten, the Netherlands, May 2006: A new Mulder 59 Convertible hardtop has left Mulder Shipyard’s facilities and has been delivered to her new owner. The hardtop design is a new version of the recently introduced Mulder 59 Convertible open. The original open version of the 59 Convertible has already attracted considerable attention at a number of major boat shows.

“We are extremely satisfied by the craftsmanship and level of finishing evident in Mulder Shipyard’s yachts,” the German owner states. “That is why this is the second boat we have ordered from the yard. Thanks to the sliding roof of the new hardtop design, the yacht provides all the comfort of a wheelhouse design together with the freedom of an open convertible.”

Mulder Shipyard has high expectations for the new fully aluminium 59 Convertible hardtop. Finished in teak, the design measures 18.05 metres overall and has a beam of 4.90 metres. An ingenious tender garage in the aft ship is opened by means of a hydraulic system, while the two Volvo D9 engines of 575 hp each provide a top speed of 24 knots.

Mulder Shipyard recently began the construction of an open 54 Convertible and expects to deliver a new Mulder 68 Convertible hardtop in two months. Due to exceptional choices in terms of colours and materials in these yachts, they will both be extremely modern boats.
