Known both in the automotive racing world and the yachting world, the owners of the new 110' Victorious wanted a vessel that reflected both lifestyles. Having owned a previous Nordlund, the 89' "VictorE", that was similiar in design and sported some of the same features, Victorious carries on the tradition with the same distinctive red stripes associated with their business. Because the owners are avid fishermen, an extended cockpit was a primary protocol, along with a crows nest for spotting the catch.
About Nordland: The company was founded in 1958 by Norm and Phyllis Nordlund, and Walt Silva. After several successful years, Walt left the company and Norm began experimenting with larger, more technical boats. At his side from the they could walk were his sons Paul and Gary Nordlund, along with daughter Karen.
Today, the two brothers-Nordlund run the company, immersed in boats as they have been their entire lives. Since switching to fiberglass in the early seventies, the company has produced a modest fleet of custom yachts that have become highly acclaimed for their style, quality and workmanship. The only things that have changed over the years are the ever growing size of the boats, along with advancements and refinements in technology.
