Horizon Yachts reports strong order book...
Taiwanese boatbuilder Horizon Yachts has announced that its total sales deliveries for 2005 are expected to be stronger than ever, with current projects and confirmed orders for the year totalling 33 units. As of today, the company has 12 orders scheduled for delivery to the east coast of the United States, including an 18.9m (62ft) motoryacht, four 25.0m (82ft) motoryachts, a 25.9m (85ft) enclosed bridge motoryacht, a 26.2m (86ft) open bridge, 28.9m (95ft) raised pilothouse, a 32.0m (105ft) tri-deck and three stock boats — two 21.3m (70ft) models and a 23.2m (76ft) open bridge.
Orders scheduled for delivery on the west coast include a 21.3m (70ft) motoryacht, a 25m (82ft) customised motoryacht, 26.2m (86ft) customised motoryacht with enclosed bridge and three stock boats — two 21.3m (70ft) models and a 23.8m (78ft) version. Another 15 orders for yachts ranging from 19.8m-39m (65ft-128ft) have also been confirmed for Europe.
Founded in 1987 by naval architect John Lu, Horizon Yachts builds the Horizon and Elegance range of motoryachts stretching from 18.9m-39.6m (62ft-130ft) in length. The former models are mostly sold in the US via Horizon's own dealer network, which includes Gilman Yachts in Maryland & Florida, as well as Emerald Pacific Yachts in the Pacific Northwest, while the Elegance range is sold in Europe exclusively through Drettman.
