New 138’ Kingship design by Vripack
August 2009 – Vripack’s Design Studio in The Netherlands has recently released a new design
developed in partnership with Kingship Marine Limited. This 138’ modern motor yacht
clearly shows the recognizable lines of contemporary class.
Carefully choosing recognizable curves, Vripack has developed a design with clean yet strong shapes. Special attention is given to the interaction between inside and outside. This yacht has various interesting features like an outside balcony adjoined to the owner’s stateroom and a full beam sky lounge to create even more indoor living space. Capacious outer decks contribute to an enjoyable life outdoors.
“Together with Kingship we have succeeded in making sure every line has a function and proper flow. This resulted in erasing quite a few shapes in the design which ultimately makes the look and feel tick like a clock” comments Bart Bouwhuis, Vripack’s director of design.
On the lower deck, the well considered interior routing has created a full separation between the spacious owner and guest cabins and the very decent crew accommodations including a professional laundry. Integrated in the lazerette is a 5m tender.
When designing the exterior, Vripack mainly focused on designing ‘a low maintenance yacht’ by using correct detailing and above all the right materials in the right place. This Tri-deck Kingship 138 features a full displacement steel hull with transoceanic range and aluminium superstructure and will be built up to Lloyds and MCA requirements. She is expected to be launched in 2011.
