Amazing review on Paladin Shadow, thanks Carl. Thanks to Shadow marine for letting us have a peak inside. The master suite's view is amazing, and the space....... I can see this catching on in a big way, with super/ mega yachts owners. I must admit, seeing the photos from FLIBS I wasn't sure of the looks, but the review has changed my mind. She is amazing.
I agree ! Not only Paladin , but the whole concept of a shadow boat is great ! We discussed that in earlier posts. I can imagine that especially owners of big sailing yachts would like to have one, to carry the toys! And also, motoryacht owners who like to visit smaller harbours, will look at this concept too, because you do not need an extremely long "main ship" ! If I could spend tens of millions to buy my megayacht (sail or motor), given the price tag of this shadow boat (around $ 10 million ??) I would buy me a shadow boat as`well !
I am absolutly agree with kalmeran!!!! This concept is very good for yacht sail yacht owners. A shadow boat is one of the best solutions in the yachting industry for a lot of things.
Shadow Marine Update First & foremost, allow me to publicly express my appreciation for the detailed and thoughtful review provided by Carl; and to my fellow Forum members, thanks for the kind words of encouragement. We at Shadow Marine believe that our product offers incredible yachting capability with unparallelled options at a non-yacht price; though the safety, seaworthiness and quality of the product are there in spades. To update all of you since our FLIBS debut, the reception of our concept has been so strong and so positive that we have purchased two more platforms for conversion. Along with big sister Paladin Shadow at 170 feet, the 159 foot Mystere Shadow will be ready in time for the Miami Boat Show; following closely the 125 foot Island Shadow in 3 months; then presenting the ultimate yacht support vessel, our 205 foot Allure Shadow will be delivered in about 6 months. Mystere Shadow and Island Shadow have no guest cabins as seen on the Paladin; however, Allure will boast 4 guest suites; a forward facing, 270 degree view sky lounge on top of the pilot house; an aft facing "ready room" overlooking the helo deck; as well as a full gym, massage room and beauty salon. She will be able to serve either as a Shadow vessel with guest "overflow" areas for the main yacht or as an owner's principal yacht. Thanks again to all for the support and we stand by to answer any questions or to discuss any and all issues relating to yachting, engineering, cruising or the sea in general. Best regards, Stan www.shadowmarine.com
This looks like a fun and interesting concept. It could be something that might stay around for a while.
The exterior leaves a little to be desired in my opinion, but that's to be expected considering its purpose and functionality - but I'm quite impressed with the interior, including the mechanical and engine room(s). I think it's a great concept and will serve its purpose for those who need/desire and can afford something like this. And a great review and pictures, typical of YF
Needless to say, a few of us would love to see any sketches of the Allure design that you would be comfortable posting Kelly Cook
Looking forward to see drawings of Allure ! The world is waiting for a super-Senses......I love the sky/observation lounge on that yacht!!
Thanks to everyone for the kind words. I'm glad the review was well recieved. Stan, I know you're pretty busy, so when the time comes, e-mail the Allure info and I'll get it uploaded.
I am working on a website for german speaking people. Does anyone have some photos of Shadow Boats, which I can use for the websites? Please send them to: rene (at) rm-industries (dot) com
Rene, I was about to tell you, with Stan's permission I'll forward images, but clearly... you have his blessings! Congrats!!! (don't forget a YF link!)
Many thanks Carl, I am waiting for the pictures. Could you send a YF-logo as well? By the way, a prototype of the website is online right now, but I am still working on a better version. URL: www.rm-industries.com
Rene, I have "tweaked" your e-mail address in the above post. Trust me... you will thank me later. Same goes for anyone posting their e-mail address on a forum. Use caution! Bots and crawlers harvest addresses and they become fuel for marketers. The result... an inbox cluttered with spam.
GA's and specs of the new 205' Shadow "Allure" have been uploaded. Direct your browser to... http://www.yachtforums.com/forums/n...e-yacht/4360-new-build-205-shadow-allure.html
