yacht transporter conversion?

Hi everyone,
I apologize if this is the wrong section for this thread, so please relocate it if you see fit to do so. Sometime back, maybe earlier this year, or sometime last year, I remember finding a website with a picture of a ship carrying a sport fisherman and another boat or two, maybe even a motoryacht. The ship looked like a small freighter type vessel, and I think this site was for a company or brokerage firm that had converted it and was selling it, as well as others of its type. I think the search query that I may have used was "mothership yacht" or something along those lines. I thought I bookmarked the site at the time, but I checked yesterday and it appears that isn't so. I even searched for a while yesterday trying to find it again, but to no avail.
Have any of you seen anything like this? I've seen the Dockwise photos and link, but this ship seemed smaller, more like a shadow vessel, that's why I figured I would post here and see if any of you had possibly seen the same site.

Thanks for the welcome. It wasn't that, though that does is a nice setup. I should've mentioned that the one I saw had the bridge near the stern of the vessel, with an open deck forward of that, having room for storing smaller vessels.

or how about this one. I can't find a very good side on view but do know this one carries the Sport fish called Go Fisch and those other boats on it's port side on the deck in front of the Pilothouse.

Thanks K1W1, the second and third link you posted looks a lot like the boat I'm thinking of. I'm pretty sure the hull was black, but they could've repainted it I guess. It definitely looks similar with the wheel house astern.

I think I had searched for expedition yachts when I first found it. This time it came up when I searched for "ULYSSES yacht". Thanks for the help. It looks like a great setup....now I just need to come up a spare 10 million or so...maybe more.

I really like the idea of Motherships. I've seen quite a few in the Caribbean with S/Fishers on the back that get used almost every day.

Down in Venezuala I saw even smallish Motoryachts,60/70ft, towing a nice Cabo sportfish or a dive RIB. It makes so much sense, thats what you use most for your fun, not the big'un.

Even on M/Y Leander, a 250 footer, the Boss kept a little old Sunseeker for when we were in homeport, Antibes. He used it every morning to go for a swim and just tied it up on a dock when he went for lunch without worrying too much.

In the Gulf state of Oman we were guests of the Sultan at his private marina in Sallalah, there he had his Motoryacht, a wooden sailing dhow (biggest since Cleopatra) and his tender.

The tender was huge, onboard were 2 Bertram Sportfishers (about 55ft) 2 Couger race-cats, 2 landing craft (good for emergency BBQs) 2 choppers (big) and of course a Military Brass Band. All the food and the underlings were carried onboard as he really did not like flying that much when he came to Europe for the summer.

Yep, I like motherships.

Yeah Fish, I really like the mothership concept as well, and the shadow boat concept. They both make a lot of sense, depending on the needs of the owner of course. Having the ability to launch a smaller fishing vessel or a helicopter sounds great. That tender belonging to the sultan sounds wicked. That must have been a great experience. Lucky you.

It makes so much sense for a shadow rather than comprimising the main yacht.

Funny story, while in the marina in Oman. I was hanging over the bow in a bosun's chair polishing the stainless anchor recess with Ospho acid and Flitz.

A very English voice behind me from the dock shouts up "Hi, is Tim (the owner) aboard?"

Me, with acid in my eyes, replies "No, he's buggered-off to the Palace for a while".

Then when washing my eyes out I see the Sultan getting into his RangeRover with a grin on his face and waving, he's ex-British Army, so used to being sworn at.
