Lars and Martin!

I am a Lars admirer since long and I strongly believe he will make a big splash one of these days.
Lars comes back regularly in this thread and this is only justice!

Groundbreaking designs from Martin Francis I also admire: ECO - Golden Shadow - Sultan - his open-space designs.
Not only nice designs but technologically well in advance of the then-valid beliefs.
Let's not forget Espen Oeino comes from his stable!
Strange no one mentioned Martin so far!

BIG names need not be the best choice

Sometimes the BIG name stuidios may not be the best choice. I am sure there are lot of very small designers out there who have a brilliant design concept but unfortunatly dont have the access to clients who may be interested in it.So probably all of the should be here at 'Yacht Forums' and maybe we will give them the break they need

I am pleased to se the Lars Modin is listed but am frustrated at not being able to find any of his work!

Where can I go (in cyberspace) to see some please?

Best wishes,

David.

Tom Fexas

The late Tom Fexas designed some beauties. Sad to know he is gone.

It looks like Martin Francis has a new website, I think you all could correct me if I am wrong but here it is...

Very difficult to say which designers are the best...
I can only list some of my favorite designs:

Cassiopeia, Langan Design Associates
Orrizonte, Theo Werner
Griffioen, De Vries Lentsch
Utopia & Wedge Too, De Voogt
Royale, Lars Modin

I have been on board Cassiopeia. Although the styling for the exterior is attractive, the reflection of this in the interior is not such a good design, because there are too many up and down moves on the boat and moving from one area to the other is not so easy.
