What to do next...

I'm trying to find work with a legitimate crew.**Does anyone have suggestions or advice.

I'm well on my way to getting my Captains license and would like to find more resources in finding work.

Hi,

You say you want to work with a legitimate crew then go on to say you are well on your way to having your Captains License.

Are you telling us you are well on your way to having a legitimate qualification after having gained experience under an illegitimate Captain,Senior Officers and Crew?

Post your details and someone will have the Coastguard check and see if you are in fact a legitimate candidate to hold that responsible qualification. Maybe the days at sea you claim to get you to where you are today need some legitimate verification.

BTW: Welcome to Yacht Forums

K1,

Geeez, didn't mean to offend thee. I figured I throw a line and see who bit.

What I'm actually looking for is a position working as a deck hand in order to get some "on the water" experience aswell as sea time. I took the test and passed but as you probably already know part of the application proccess is logging in a certain amount of sea time.

thx

David,

I don't think you could offend K1W1. He responded appropriately to your post. It might be prudent to take a step back, read up a little and return with a little more clarity. While you're at it, I'd like you to consider one thing... the person(s) you're corresponding with on YachtForums just might be the person that hires you. Keeping this in mind, I might suggest you proceed with a little more respect.

And finally, I have moved this thread to the crew forum, where it belongs. The General Yachting Discussion forum wasn't established for David to find work.
