The following positions are permanent and will be aboard a
new 68m Motoryacht carrying a full-time crew of 22.

Second Engineer

To assist the Chief Engineer in all aspects of engineering operations. Ideally someone with a good electrical background who is competent with AV and IT systems. Will be expected supervise and maintain all the electrical spares. Must be a team player.

Third Engineer

Someone to assist in all aspects of engineering operations. Background/ Interest in the mechanical aspects of engineering. Must be a team player.

Requirements:

One of the engineers must be Y2 or equivalent. The 2nd Engineer should have a strong electrical background and the 3rd Engineer should be an AV and Network specialist. An MCA Certificate of competency would not be needed for the 3rd Engineer if this was the case, but this person must be a team player. Having an interested in all things mechanical is a big plus.

Reporting to the Project Director in the overseeing of all production activities in the Refit of a Royal Omanian Navy Corvette.
Duties include Managing a multi national Company and Contractor workforce in their daily activities onboard Ship.
Over seeing all Quality and Safety issues onboard Ship, to the satisfaction of the Customer.
Managing the Ships plan, which includes Commissioning, Tests, and Harbour/Sea Trials.
Standing in for the Project Director, in his absence.

Oct.1992-June 1993 Supervisor Mechanical Engineer Saudi Arabia

Workshop Manager, responsible for overseeing the planned maintenance, fault diagnosis and expediting repairs on ships of the Royal Saudi Navy. Employed at sea in the running of various engineering departments, and in the Control Room on a shift basis, as Engineering Officer of the Watch, having sole responsibility for the correct and safe operation of ships main propulsion units, auxiliaries and electrical power and distribution.



1979- 1980 Design Draughtsman / Production Engineer Allen-Bradley Electronics(UK)

Involved in the design and increased production methods of jigs, tools, fixtures and specialised machines for the manufacture of electronic components. This was a promotion from my previous toolmaking position.


1974-1979 Toolmaker(UK)

Served a very demanding and complicated apprenticeship, which resulted in being awarded a full toolmaking position within the company. My main duties were the manufacture of high speed press tools, injection moulding equipment, jigs, fixtures and specialised machines for the manufacture of electronic components.
