I am very well aware of all of the above.

Told him to have the fuel tanks cleaned as well as the bottom.

No, no and no, all of that would cost money.

oh.. 5 years of neglect instead of 20... that's better. it will sink in deeper water, not in the inlet.

sorry, i just couldn't resist!

Well, it has been neglected for 20 years, it has just been moving while neglected...

Seriously, that is not my kind of boat, or my kind of maintenance program, I am just being helpful getting the boat out of here, as it is docked across the canal from me and I had to look at it every day for the 10 years I have lived here...

That answers it. He probably figures that eventually you'll buy it or pay for the move. I hear that next comes the purple & green paint . How deep is your canal ?
Knew there was a laugh coming out of this somewhere. Sorry it had to be on you. Good luck.

Well, yes the good laugh will be on me when that thing motors out of the canal in a couple of weeks.

I have worked hard the last 2 months getting read of it and finally sold it to a guy overseas, sight unseen. The money is transferred and the boat is paid for.
Part of the deal was to have it delivered to Bimini, but that seems to be solved now that the (old) owner is going to take it across the Gulf Stream himself.

Not deep enough, otherwise the neighbors would have sunk it long time ago.

Happy times ahead and crossing fingers the trip down the River will be uneventful...

I have to remember to call you when I have ice to sell in the arctic. You might want to set up cameras by Little Florida and Riverwalk when she heads down-river, especially if he miscalculates the tides. This could make Youtube Here's hoping he doesn't meet the JQ

Pascal,
That's no problem. If the owner (cross the canal neighbor) or some foolish captain is moving it the only thing that matters is that it clears the end of the canal. Right Norseman.

You know that has crossed my mind too..What if the trip is perfect and the weather beatiful and all the moons and stars are aligned and he says, nah, this is worth more than 15K to me, I'll keep it, and paint it green and purple when paint is on sale at the local Home Depot...
