I am helping a friend (or at least trying to help) find a captain for a Mangusta 105' He is insistent on the captain having previous experience of a hydrojet power vessl. Firstly (and most obviously) Does anyone know someone that fits the bill and secondly (if not) how vital is hydrojet experience. Any help or advice would be very welcome.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    Welcome to Yacht Forums.

A more widely used and well recognized term to describe your Mangustas Drive package is Waterjet.

Easier than Arneson drives. I've run four of them.

If you are still looking for a captain you may want to contact Potomac Marine at 703-670-0080. I believe that they teach boat handling courses on this type of vessel and may be helpful in finding a captain. Hope this helps.
