Nice wheel!:) I've been itching lately to get back into riding. I just can't get my head around paying 20K plus, plus for a bike. When I was riding people gave them respect because they were afraid of getting beaten up. Now they're more afraid of getting sued. Still, when I hear a nice set of pipes.:D

Aye, sold my FXR Superglide some years ago.

Riding around here ain't safe or sane, too many idiot drivers on the road.

    Or I am getting old..

I know what you mean, back then we rode to a Bar, today they ride to a Starbucks.
But my Decker was used mostly for taking vacations, meandering through mountain roads and seaside highways. I considered getting a sidecar when family started expanding, but the Viking battleaxe swayed me towards a Magic-wagon.

Kids came, and I decided it was time to sell.
Have a "bar bike" (50 shovel head) and had the weekend cruiser. (2006 Road King).

The bar bike hasn't been ridden more than 100 miles in the past 2 years.
The Road King was sold in 2008 with 6K miles on it.

I miss the long rides, sans idiots on the road who don't respect / share the road with bikes. But I don't see getting another in the future.

Good luck to the OP in getting a ride together.
I do miss those days too. A nice ride with a small group of guys. Leisurely stroll out through the hills, grab some lunch and a beer in the shade and tell boat stories.

Nice, looks like my 83 Shovel. If I’m down your way, I will rent a bike and we’ll go for a cruise.
Be careful when towing that trailer, it changes all your riding dynamics.

    Trailer

The Bushtech trailer is amazing. Anti-sway system and air shocks-you can drop it from 10 feet and it's guaranteed not to bounce. It is the trailer everyone wants. It's cool to roll up at Markham Park and unload your trap and skeet guns and ammo or take your golf bag to the course. I am planning a camping trip up to the Tennessee mountains this summer. Truly, I have had this rig out on the interstate and say that I have to look in the mirror to make sure it.s still back there. Great trailer!!

Once I was docked at Hemingway Marina in Havana and watched Lady Jenn unload a couple white Harley bar-hoppers onto the quay. Envious was I,

What a coincidence. I rode mine to work today. I have a friends spending a few days here and they will be using my car. There is something about starting your day with a ride to work that makes life a little more enjoyable.

Sorry. That should have read "pan".

The shovel (circa 1969) is a basket case still sitting in boxes for the 'one' day I may find time to tackle the project. (translation: sitting in boxes, waiting to be sold)
