We all knew it had to happen and it sort of makes sense!!! You can no longer just fly to the Bahamas to renew your visa waiver (if your a tourist) or I94 (visa i.e. crew).

I'm looking a little more closely into the situation I wonder about our next trip.

The list of islands considered adjacent (thus cannot go to renew I94 or VWP) are as follows:

    Anguilla
    Antigua
    Aruba
    Bahamas
    Barbados
    Barbuda
    Bermuda
    Bonaire
    British Virgin Islands
    Cayman Islands
    Cuba Curacao
    Dominica
    Dominican Republic
    Grenada
    Guadeloupe
    Haiti
    Jamaica
    Marie-Galante
    Martinique
    Miquelon
    Montserrat
    Saba
    Saint-Barthelemy
    Saint Christopher
    Saint Eustatius
    Saint Kitts-Nevis
    Saint Lucia
    Saint Maarten
    Saint Martin
    Saint Pierre
    Saint Vincent
    Grenadines
    Trinidad
    Tobago
    Turks and Caicos Islands

Other British, French and Netherlands territories or possessions bordering on the Caribbean Sea.

So when we leave Fort Lauderdale at the end of the month with plans to cruise the Caribbean for 4 or 5 months, technically according to what I've read we cannot re-enter the US.

Does anybody know if this is truly the case? Very strange that they would enforce this on crew that will be coming and going many times between visits home?
