Westport launches eighth 164' motor yacht "Wabi Sabi"
American yacht builder Westport has launched another yacht from it's Westport 164-foot line. The latest is the eighth in the series and is called "Wabi Sabi". She is designed by Donald Starkey inside and out and has naval architecture by William Garden.
She is very similar to her sisters in the line and feature mirrored statistics. At 12 knots
Wabi Sabi can knock up over 5,000 nautical miles. Powered by a pair of MTU 16V 4000 diesels to give her a top speed of 24 knots. A cruising speed of 22 knots is expected and with sea trials iminent, these figures will be confirmed.
Wabi Sabi will be able to sleep as many as twelve guests in her six cabins. These are arranged in a Master, a VIP, four double cabins. She is another case of large scale lamination with her GRP construction but still keeping her under the 500 ton range.
Wabi Sabi is expected to be delivered to her owner in Spring 2011.
