Thanks Kevin! Interesting, but this is not the first time we have seen a yacht builder and a high end fashion or style company joining hands.

"The content of these projects will be unveiled during the course of 2009."
(27 June 2008)
| A lot of projects have been rethought since then and 2009 is 9 months in. Any updates?

It's scheduled to go Live on the 23rd of September... which obviously coincides with the start of the Monaco Yacht Show. We'll find out what WHY Yachts is in 3 days.

WHY Yachts officially launched the website since the just concluded 19th Monaco Yacht Show (MYS). There is a video on the concept of the yacht and I can tell you it is appealing to say the least. I don't know whether the exterior is appealing though.

| "Y3K" Triumphant! Wally "Y3K" wins Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup Quote:
Porto Cervo, Italy - 43 yachts divided into seven groups entered the 20th Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup organized from September 6th to September 12th by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in conjunction with the International Maxi Association (IMA).
The regatta is one of the most important superyacht racing rendez-vous of the World: the courses among the beautiful coastline and islands, the perfect weather conditions, the glamorous social activity make this event a “must” of the racing season. The Wally Division included seven yachts ("Dark Shadow", the brand new "Y3K", "Magic Carpet Squared", "Open Season", "Genie", "Inti", "J One"), while two more, "Saudade" and the brand new Wally 130, raced in the Cruising Division. The week was characterised by medium-strong north easterly winds rising a big swell.
The first day offered challenging conditions to the competitors with a 3-metre sea and 20-25 knots of northeasterly wind. The fleet was sent to a 35 nautical mile course alternating sheltered legs with flat water with open sea bumpy waters. Magic Carpet Squared was leading most of the race until the head sail blew out of the foil forcing the crew to finish only with the main. J One won ahead of Open Season and Y3K.
Day two had very similar conditions with the wind having backed a little to the north, blowing 15 knots, but the sea state remained large and lumpy. Y3K won both on the water and in handicap converting a four-minute lead over Magic Carpet to a narrow one-minute victory over J One, which finished the race forty minutes after the winner.
The third day was easier: the sea had considerably flattened and the wind dropped to 12-15 knots, convincing the Race committee to select a 36 nautical mile quest up the outside of the archipelago and down also outside the Islands after having rounded Spargi. Y3K had another great day winning both in real and corrected time.
In day four, the Wally Division sailed two windward-leeward races, both won by Magic Carpet Squared, with Y3K winning twice in real time, and finishing second and third in corrected securing her lead of the series.
The final day offered the competitors a gentle north-easterly breeze between 8 and 10 knots. Again, Y3K sailed impeccably sealing her Wally Division victory with another win. Not bad for a yacht launched in July this year! The owner, who drives the yacht during the regattas as set by the Class Rules, took delivery of his third Wally only one month before the event, and enthusiastically commented: “We thought we could get in the top three, but to win with a brand-new boat is unexpected.
You usually will have some technical problems, but in all six races we were always first over the line and never had any problems." Congratulations to his crew as well, that had an excellent preparation and performed impeccably. Open Season ended the series in second place also showing convincing and consistent performance and crew work.

Here are the first pictures of the Wally 130 Dream project/"Cannonball". Very nice interior from those pics, very WALLY! Love the red deck accent/mood lighting, emphasizing the red theme. http://www.**********************/sup...ally-130-dream |

Saint Tropez, France – The Wally Class winner of the racing season is the boat with the Owner Driving having reached the best results of four events of the 2009 official calendar. The Wally Class 2009 winner is "Y3K", like in 2008: congratulations to the owner and the crew!
Two more owners were awarded: the owner of "Dark Shadow" who won the Performance Division that was scored for the first time in the Voiles de Saint Tropez 2009, and the owner of "Genie" who won one race of the Voiles de Saint Tropez bringing this “milestone” yacht back to victory.
Every winner was awarded with a Hublot Big Bang watch.
During the usual prize giving dinner hosted by Hublot and Wally in Saint Tropez, Mr. Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of Hublot Genève, unveiled to the Owners the new Mag Bang Wally, the limited edition chronograph watch carrying the Wally brand. The Mag Bang Wally is built in aluminium, magnesium and titanium resulting one of the lightest in its category, perfectly matching the Wally approach to yachting!

The Wally racing sloop "Tango" has had another price reduction in her asking. Earlier in the year, she reportedly had an amazing near half of a million dollar reduction. Now she got another reduction, now asking 3.9-Million Euros down from 4.8-Million Euros.
