Somebody spotted the problem here-wally yachts are appealing to the young generation (me!) that doesn't have money to buy them. Comercially Wally venture completely missed the target. Nobody (again in my generation) will argue the appeal, the looks, even the beauty of some of their proyects, but what can you do, we don't have money to buy them. The target market, the ones with excessive budgets in yachting are on the other hand seeing the Wallys poor in excecution, technically complicated and often non functioning.

this is why 118 will remain a unique peace. In both senses of the word.

I highly disagree....the WallyTender is in my opinion one of the most functional and by far the best riding boat of its size and even of boats much larger than it

Driving the WallyTender in 8 foots seas yesterday, it handeled like a dream, slicing through the waves in it way and riding wonderfully at 35 knts not getting wet once, while the only other boats that deared go out in the seas were large tanker ships

I appreicate some of the critism but can't say i respect it as the majority of the criticism is not based upon first hand encounters but only by looking at photos which is hardly a way to judge something...to truely appreciate a wally you must ride on one

Not so true. I know of (at least) one wally owner who celebrated his 32nd birthday onboard.

The worlds high net worth individuals have a surprisingly low average age.

Also, the individuals chartering large yachts ($100 000 +) per week are often relatively young.

It would be interesting if Bassani had paid to have a Wally appear in a movie as he was staunchly opposed to his yachts being available to 'anyone'. (as in: the only people seen on a Wally are the people that own them or their friends - Wally's should be very exclusive.
He has declared outright that his yachts would never be available for commercial charter. Having said that he has obviously changed his tune somewhat in that regard.

I see many of you very keen on Wally Power boats. While my favourite is the 118, I am looking for a Wally to buy in the next 28 months. I love the 80's but I wonder why their price range dramatically. Tiketitoo was sold for less than 4 million Euros when its price was reduced from 6,9 million Euros. The other Wallys on sale are 90 and 107' and are priced at around 7 million Euros.

Does anyone knows the reason why Tiketitoo would be sold for such low price? Is it due to structural damage or just a market price adjustment?

I have always admired Wally's for there healthy disregard to how things are, and have repeatedly taken a different path. However I also feel that in years to come the will date very rapidly much like many of Bannenberg's designs ( mostly the Oceanfast boats ) I also suspect that due to there light construction that they are very fragile and they will become problematic to maintain in seaworthy condition. But I still like the designs just because !!!!

The sailing yachts will age less drastically I think... although the brighter colors might not. That's easily updateable though. Their lines are generally simple enough that time won't hurt them too much. Anyone with an appreciation for speed and performance will always think they look good.

The Wallypower yachts will probably age far less gracefully, like you said Gary. (They're still cool though!!)

And speaking of the Wally sailing yachts, their latest has successfully complete it's sea-trials. The 143 foot Esense looks amazing in my opinion, and quite frankly, with a deck like THIS and lines like THESE can it ever really go out of style?

I agree that such lines will hardly be outdated! Even the Wally B is still a very modern boat after 8 years and yes the Wally Power's migh be outdated sooner than most yachts.

the 88' Tiketitoo part from bold colours id a very simple and modern designed boat. Why did it loose so much of its value to be sold for 3,9 million Euros?
