Viking 52,55,58 QUESTION

Hi i have a 52' 2002 Ocean SS

I am looking to get a Viking Sportfish and would like to know how much these burn an hour. i do know that the 52' Viking weighs 6,000lbs more than my Ocean, so i am just wondering how much the 52' , 55' and the 58' burn an hour.
If you own one of these please tell me know what speed you cruise at and how many gallons and hour.

Thank you, BJM

Tell me what engines they have in them or the ones you are looking at, and I'll tell you how much they burn per hour.

I have a 2008 54C with V12 1550s and looking at the original factory sea trial data as a ref. 35 knt cruise, 125 gal/hr burn. This is very close to what we burn. We cruise between 30-35 knots burning 100-130 gal/hr.

On my boat, 10 knots will give you over 1 mile/gallon, once you are planing, whether your speed is 23 knots or 36 knots it pretty close to .33 miles/gallon. The mi/gallon curve is pretty flat once you are on plane.

Thank you for the replies. I know that the 52 Viking comes with several different engines. I do not need the top speed so the 1050 MANS would be plenty of power. Do you know what gph these engines would burn in the range of 27 knots. This is the speed I use with the Ocean and it is pretty efficient. Thanks again for both replies. BJM
