Have a 45 Viking Convertible with 900 MANS. The boat has sat for over a month and has signs of growth on it. Originally thought that it was fuel filters and changed them, but still have the same problem. The boat will just get up on plane but is slow. There is no fibration but I feel that this is due to growth. Showing 100% load at 85% throttle and stays at 100% load from 85% to 100% throttle. Any thoughts beyond growth on the bottom and props?

A dirty bottom is the first thing I'd suspect after sitting for a month. Have it cleaned and then check again.

If the bottom is dirty then that definately is the problem. Also make sure fuel filters are clean/new both primary and secondaries. If that's fine then the boat is overpropped.

This has been a summer for serious growth up here. I took a boat out of Conscience Pt. 2 weeks ago that had been sitting. Wouldn't come on plane, vibrated like a Motel 6 bed. Luckily she only had to fo a few miles to her winter home because I could only make 7.5 kts without shaking her apart. We typically start getting the bad growth during the last 2 weeks of August up here. This year it was more like being in So. Florida. Your diver should have you back in shape, but don't be surprised if he charges you a bit extra. He'll have a lot of scraping to do.

I agree, check for bottom growth.

I came out for Irene and bottom was clean.

Just yesterday I noticed that the bottom was pretty slimed.....

a few barincles or some growth on the shafts and wheels can easily knock off a few hundred RMP off the top.
