Peterswerft "Al Mirqab" - (former Project May)

Once again, another very large yacht is to be launched pretty soon and this one goes under the build name of 'Project May.' Many of you probably would have heard about this vessel. She is said to be the successor to the 95M oceAnco build Al Mirqab which is of course now the charter yacht Indian Empress.

'May' is said to be 133M LOA which would put her around 438.9 feet long. She has a design by Tim Heywood who designed other beauties such as Pelorus and Carinthia VII and their design has proliferated into the Project May.

If delivery is indeed intended for May, this would mean she definitely would have to be launched sometime now or very early February the latest. This is if she is for delivery in May.

Here is a link from a website that has CAD generations of the upper deck of Project May:

Thanks Jannick, great pictures! Not so great design of such an important yacht though..? Perhaps she will look better when completely finished...

Jannick,
Thanks for the great pics.
This yacht is HUGE.
How many crew are required to man the vessel?

The massive AL Mirqab (ex Project May) has left the yard enroute for sea trials. She seemed to have caused quite a spectacle going through the Stor Bridge. Brunick where are you?
