Dominating the main deck, the main lounge is a compartmentalized, but open floor plan, arranged with contrasting colors and fabrics. Accented by exotic tones of ceruse oak for wall partitions and dark chocolate tones of wengewood, the room also sports strip teak flooring.

Centered in a motorized up/down cabinet a 42” plasma TV with Panasonic PRO HD screen, satellite CD, DVD, DIVX and IPOC connection. Five Mirage speakers present surround sound and 360º diffusion. Sound extension includes the forward and aft decks. Modern design flourishes here, too, in airy ceiling treatments and a modern abstract design cocktail table.

Set across from the living room area, the dining room features a large table seating up to 10. Surrounded by the curvilinear design concept, it is fashioned in the identical pale ceruse oak cabinetry and dark-chocolate wengewood flooring gracing the entire living space. Modern Danish design chairs are high-backed and upholstered to match. Windows and starlights add mood.

Contemporary design exemplifies creativity in the interior layout of the salon, as this wood stairway winds its way, seemingly unsupported, up through the airy space. Crafted of ceruse oak beams and onyx treads, with faux candlelights on each step, its nimbleness leads to the wheelhouse.

Centered at the rear of the oversized salon, the galley is fully utilitarian as well as modern in scope. Set with stainless steel countertops, its Miele microwave oven and steam cookers include a rotisserie and induction range. Two deep freeze lockers are abetted by a cold locker on the after deck, and an ice machine. There is also a cut-out (glassless) window for easy serving; so the chef may join into the yacht’s social life. A separate laundry cove holds a washer-dryer.

Four guest cabins grace the pontoons of this spacious catamaran. Two on each beam. with queen-size berths and ensuite heads/showers. Each has its own closet space and shares stairways which lead up to the main salon.

Guest cabins are outfitted with 15” TV, with satellite reception; DVD, CD FM, MP3 and IPOD connections.
Two optional separate crew cabins are forward in the nacelles.

Guest baths feature compact heads and combination sinks with hand-held showers. Each has a vanity mirror and medicine cabinet as well.

Aft in each sponson is a walk-around space for the massive MAN diesel engines. Each also houses its 20Kva Northern Lights generator. The MCAT 88 is capable of 1,000 mile range @ 10 knots, and speeds up to 20 knots.

On the drawing board is the MCAT 100, EVOE 80 and H2X FUSION. With extraordinary stability and spaciousness, the H2X MCAT is certain to cause a stir in yachting circles with its “Hummer-like” heritage. It will most likely strike a chord also in the hearts of new yacht designers, and yachtsmen who demand adventure and comfort in the next generation of yacht design.
