Big Change at ICON

Hi,

I have it on good authority that Wim Koersfelt has been given the push from ICON.

The other frontman Jan Wartena is now the sole head of the operation.

Pictures of the "Baton Rouge" are on the Marinetraffic website. Not a bad design even though she looks a lil' chubby from some angles...

The "Midlandia" Project is expected to be completed in early 2012 as long as everything goes to plan. So that should mean she will launch later this year! She should have been the second hull to have launched after the "Icon" but for whatever reason the project fell behind schedule and what was to be the third hull (launched as "Baton Rouge") launched before her.

"Slipstream" should have been at Icon since the end of March or early April. I think she is to be painted over and have general maintainence and works done. Why a new owner?

The 42-meter yacht finished by Icon Yachts and launched back in April is called "Basmalina II".

Most likely is "Icon"...She was the first Icon yacht, 62-meters is her length.

"Basmalina II", she didn't have a 'refit' at Icon, she was completed at Icon, started construction at Kaiserwerft but that company went under. Welcome Sea Ray, glad you enjoy the forums so much.

Icon recently posted this photo on their Instagram. I can't keep up with all these "Rahil" yachts. They said the yacht had just returned from sea trials. Looks like it had been in refit or something from in the pic, the paint looks fresh. The design looks like something A&R would have built. Can someone fill in the blanks?
