Utmost quality is reflected in the choice of delightful, top level accoutrements, while candle-lit dinners stimulate the appetites of charterers. The designers say they faced new challenges, many incurred by the owner’s requirement to emphasize the yacht’s charter mission, and therefore compete on an even keel with the finest megayachts Europe has to offer.

Entering the exquisite master suite with its classical dark woods and ecru carpet, the décor theme is broadly expressed in elegant, aesthetic fashion. The entry desk, set against the ovoid window treatment, is a skillful design touch, located across a broad aisle from the more staid cabinetry and armoires, for entry into the master sanctum.

This Master stateroom is a Wow. An excellent example of a room design made into a work of esthetic distinction. Total balance in color, design elements and arrangement blend into a picture-perfect study. Dark tones set against the light blue, arcing into ovoid windows and the light shaded carpet impel studies in contrast and harmonics. The touch of gold in the picture frames as well as the neoclassic fixtures all blend with exemplary artistic merit, enhanced by the ceiling’s chandelier. Not shown in this picture is a hidden 42” plasma TV rises from its cabinet on command.

The Master bath carries on the design elements of the master stateroom and goes it one better with the addition of the perfect oval bathtub. Echoed in shape and shade by the trio of windows, gold accents in the flooring, chandeliers, light fixtures and metamorphic marble vanity top. All combine to produce an outstanding statement of top-quality design. A close-up of the faucets reveal the unconstrained dramatic flair operating in this creative environment.

Luxury is again the key for the guest VIP stateroom, following the dark wood theme and gold accents. The addition of strong, color-laden fine art achieves the classic artist touch, while geometric patterns in sculptured wall coverings, and polished brass fittings echo the aura of high level tastes. A 24” TV provides entertainment.

With gold-streaked marble and gold/plated fixtures contrasting with the deepened dark mahogany tones, and the bold white wash basin, the bath becomes a study in artistic pleasures, accentuating the design expertise of Mia Elise’ team.

The galley takes cues from the rest of the ship. It's commercial-grade to one side, yet echoes Mia Elise's deep, rich mahogony theme to the other. Stainless ovens, stoves and splatter guards are located to one side and a granite topped preparation counter runs the perimeter of the galley. Cabinets and stowage surround while a full-size freezer and refrigerator are located opposite the prep-area. With charter in mind, this is a galley built to withstand years of service..

At the heart of mechanical operations are twin 1,650 hp Caterpillar 3512B diesel engines, which drive this wonderful Mansion-on-the-Med. At 12 knots cruise, her range is 4,500 nautical miles, on 28,000 gallons of fuel. The engineer’s digs are a few steps away, overlooking the control room, which also houses twin 160kW gen-sets, watermakers and depth sounders. All mechanical equipment as well as construction complies with the ISM – International Safety Management Code governing yachts of greater than 500 gross tons. She also meets the ISPS – International Ship and Port Facility Security Code; both accepted as criteria to ensure passenger vessel standards. All are essential to the principals who commission multi-million dollar yachts to express their love of the sea.

Below all the glamorous decks on Mia Elise is the “Tank Deck” which, ala large commercials vessels, caters to the mechanical adroitness of this extraordinary yacht. A special tunnel runs through the length of the yacht, allowing crew members to monitor all mechanical needs. It also encloses stabilizer compartments, wiring, and other essential equipment.

Billy Smith sums up Trinity’s business philosophy thus: “Our clients are self-made men who have the smarts to know when they get a good deal. Trinity has had eight out of the past 15 buyers as repeat sales.” An astonishing record to say the least. Yet, not totally unusual. The owner of Mia Elise has himself commissioned four previous yachts by that same name, from Trinity, each one larger than before. He admits to being a former Feadship owner. Smith continues: “Many of our clients have boats under construction or are awaiting delivery, but have also ordered a new yacht, the next one even larger. They’ll have one to enjoy while they await the new model. They know they will get a fair bargain from this builder, whether it’s in steel or aluminum.”

Mia Elise and Trinity are obviously at the top of the game, and fated for more of the same!
