A RIB with class and elegance! Never thought I would see it. Beautiful styling, first class appointments. This one is better for the passengers with the canopy overhead.
AMG what do you think the speed is with Yanmar 315s, 50 knots?

With twin Yanmar 315hp diesel/Bravo 1, the top speed is 55 knots, cruising at 45 knots consuming 1.64 l/nm (0.82/engine). With twin 600 hp petrol the top speed is 75-80 knots...

A better choice would be the new Yanmar 480s with Arneson drives, should see 65-70 knots, still pretty fast.

You can probably have it if you like, today they use a gearbox and XR drives on these Yanmars. The guy behind this project have a RIB-cat with a 1.000+ hp Merlin V8 and a Speedmaster VI drive that has set a world speed record for RIB:s with over 100 knots, so he is open to anything that is fast... |

I don't know that I would put a Bravo XR behind a Yanmar 370/440/480 even with a gearbox. Too much torque.

Yes, but I think it is a two-speed gearbox and the boats are not that heavy, otherwise I know there is on the limit with these engines...

Weight is definitely a factor in drive life. A friend of mine built a 900hp motor and put it in a 23' cat with a Bravo1. He told me it's been running for three years without failure.
My boat is 24' and weighs 2400lbs dry, up to 3200lbs with 110gal fuel. It has a 600hp motor and the old style Bravo1. I do NOT do any holeshots. So far so good, but I wish I had a stronger drive.
My boat/trailer weighs 5000lbs and I pull it with a 1 ton Dodge diesel pickup. I believe in overbuilding for strength. That way machinery lives longer.

Here are some good tenders. Can be put in tight overhead garages and also serve as MCA compliant rescue boats, (but not when stored in a garage); http://www.seahorseyachttenders.com/members.htm |

Here's a fine old tender - a 1953 Chris-Craft outfitted as a Venetian water taxi.
Don't be fooled by the age however, she's got gold-plated fittings and was completely restored. Asking price: $650K

One tender of Lady Lola's shadow (a blue racing cat, powered by engines not by sails) were a good tender as well. I want to post a photo of this thing, but the website www.ladylolaandshadow.com has been removed
They had wonderful photos.

Lady Lola's offshore cat was an Eliminator. Which conjures the thought... even if you have the most toys... it doesn't count... unless they are the right toys.
