Planned maintainance software

I've been looking for planned maintainance software to keep track of all engine and equipment maintainance, store procedures and manuals and in some cases, meet regulatory requirements.

I found a few and put them on my blog but wonder if anybody out there has actually used them or can recommend any particular software.

Hi,

Idea Software does it for me.

http://www.ideayacht.com/

Sebastian the head guy is always a pleasure to deal with and the system can be built with add on modules as simple or as complicated as you like.

Just remember that like any of these relational database applications you only really get as much out of it as you put in so put in more time and effort setting it up and you will reap the benefits later on.

idea software

We are also quite happy with Idea, both as a product and from a customer service point of view.

Software

Hi,

IDEA VIO is good, we use it onboard.

However, here are some more products to be considered:

www.avecs.net (now belongs to INTERSCHALT group)
www.teromarine.no (TM-master, good stuff)
www.msls.de (Gl-manager, very good interface, support,... my favorite)

Good luck with setup,

brgds,

Andrei

Like others here I have good experience with Idea and the people there.
I would say the program is more geared to overall vessel management than purely planned maintenance. Also the underlying database relys on MSaccess

If you are looking for something a bit more simple and more engineer oriented have a look at this.

I know of a couple of MCA compliant yachts using it.

What is about Seascape? Is it still in business or exclusive for Dr. Clark?

I can't find the website of them.

Have a look also at Marasoft (www.marasoft.nl). I installed their demo-version and it looks easy to use with a good graphical interface. No uniform sizes for the crew as in IDEA though.

Hi,

Are you using this currently or are you stuck with the yard standard?
