MTU vs CAT Engines

Hi All,

Thought I'd get some advice from the tremendous amount of experience on this forum yet again.

I'm doing some research on MTU vs CAT and trying to compare the two different engines. I'm looking at the MTU continuous rated 12V 4000 M60 rated at 1,400 hp vs. the CAT C32. The yacht will be highly used therefore is there a significant advantage in maintenance, service, etc. by using the MTU continuous rated engines? What are the reliability and quality of the two like. Is one better than the other?

Do let me know all your experiences, comments, and ideas. Thanks for your help. Cheers.
