In the 1990's, there were approximately 2500 yachts over 80 feet worldwide. Today, there are over 5800, of which about 30% are built in the United States.

If the gentleman asking the question will scan the "General Yachting Discussion" forum, he will find some other useful statistics, including the 2003-2004 worldwide production numbers for yachts. This is a fairly good indicator of the status of the yachting industry.

but there are only statistics about yachts over 80 feet. Could you provide information about total yachts information just like AMMA did?

maybe I mistake yachts meaning.
I think yachts should include inboard boats, sterndrive boats...
and I download a file from www.nmma.org, it said the total inboard boats-cruisers sold units is 11,800, and retail value:4,336,559,000. Average:367,505
so, I feel confused about your answer.
