I remember Carl you were looking for a high magnification pocket camera, so was I, Last year I couldn't find over 3x optical like a cannon elf. So I went the road of a full size 5 megapixel 12x optical zoom 40x total ,lumix fz20, great camera and lens with stabilazation. but hard to lug around.
I was at compusa today and I,m going to be getting another camera, Carl check this out 10 optical and the size of a elph.

the v610 from kodak ,check out where"it says product info from kodak" 6.1 meg 10x optical and small, has some new lens system that the lens does not extend when using optical zoom. 449.99, I going to get one easy to carry.
