Type II MSD - Mediterranean discharge

I'm presently working on a large motor yacht with an "Orca II A" sewage treatment system. It is certified by the USCG and IMO as a MSD Type II. There seems to be alot of confusion as to whether this can be used in port or for that matter in the entire Mediterranean. Does anyone have a definitive answer ?

Yes

You can use atype 2 MSD system in the Med but please check if the local by laws allow you to discharge in harbours and marinas? If you look at www.MCGA .gov.uk for advice aswell as "Marpol" annex 4 or 5 (marine oil polution ) you will find the the details relating to marine sewrage systems and discharge
