Can someone interpret this pdf file on the correct rudder alignment for my boat and explain in layman terms how I measure?

Okay I think I figured it out. The trailing edge of the rudders (closest to stern) should be 2.5" further apart than the rudder leading edge (bow) according to the spec sheet.

I did not look at the file yet. But that sounds right. They want some "toe in" on the rudders.

Yes, that is how your boat is setup from the factory.

Maybe stated somewhat differently...... If you have the Wedge type rudders, the inside surfaces should be parallel, that is... the same distance (dimension) between the inside surfaces as measured near the forward edge, at the rudder post, and near the aft edge.
If you have the Plate type rudders, the inside surfaces measured near the aft edge should be 2 1/2 inches more than the distance of the inside surfaces at the rudder post (note: not the forward edge).

Curtarmy,
Absolutely correct as I learned. I have the plate rudders. Thanks

I disagree- the rudders should be 2 1/2 inches further apart at the center of trailing edge than at the center of the rudder posts- NOT the inside edge to inside edge or outside edge to outside edge.
