Help please! 45' Cruisers 455

Please help, I would like to purchase 45' Cruisers 455 2005, it only has 11 hours.

I would like to know what problems I can expect because it has low hours.

Welcome to YF !

Location of the boat will have a lot to do with it.
I see your from Toronto, is it a local boat if so how has it been stored?
Heated, non-heated if so in or outside. Has it been in storage for a period or has it been a dock queen for the summers?

Any maintence records for the period?

Depending on the answers to above will have a bearing on the answers you receive from the forum.

Boris,
It's a 2005 with only 11 hours on it (are they real hours or for a replaced engine)?
Not sure if there should be a question here or for you to turn around and get away from this thing. For me, I wouldn't touch it. It would be assumd that the engines have not run in a long while, interior may be in questionable condition (mold, odor, filth), mechanical system not run, hoses and diaphragm pumps dried out, etc. How much is it offered for? Any photos?

Is this the one listed on YachtWorld.com in Seabrook, TX? Why has it sat around for 4 years? Owner bailed on it or was it in the yard due to bad something or another? If serious, get an engine surveyor over to it and check those Volvo diesels out.

Could this be a hurricane boat (like the cars that are showing up on lots everywhere)? This has questions and red flags all over it.

The local cruisers dealer in Seabrook recently had some if not all of their new inventory boats re-possessed. With the dealer currently advertising the 455 getting all the repos to sell. I know that there are other 2005 'new' boats in this collection, and of course, will full disclosure being part of the yacht sales industry, it will not be hard to ask the question about hurricane Ike.
