1993 Volvo 7.4L Gas - RPM's ???

    Hey guys

    I am switching my gauges in my 1993 Chris 380 Continental, to new ones. My old RPM Gauges go up to 7000. But the guages I really like only go to 4000. What is the normal operating range for my Volvo's? Can I get away with the 4000 ?

    I believe those engines redline at 5000 - 5200 rpm.

    The new Volvo gauges (black or white face) have a digital hour gauge in them but cost a fortune. VDO do the same ones for half the price.

    Fish
