i am planning to buy a 44 sunseeker camargue, that is for sale and is in very good conditions. this is what i can afford right now ..

has anyone here some experience with that model ?

Have a couple of friend who owned this boat, and rode it a couple of times.
Boat is ok good quality but rides is not one of the best. Too much water dragging aft, and bow high attitude. Good in following seas, average in head.
Go for the Volvo 480hp choice, or Cats 457. Avoid the Cats 420hp which makes go quite slow and drink more. I think it reaches 29 knots with the 420hp unloaded, and cruises at about 21 knots.
If you can afford it take the newer 46 Portofino which had a slight modification to the aft part of hull and rode much better.
