| The ROGUES thread... Here's the protocol... if it's different, disproportionate, neglected, abused, and otherwise...
painful to look at... it's a ROGUE!
The ROGUES thread is all in fun and this is our motto... |

| much guts, no glory...
Somewhere in Holland there's the owner of this boat, very brave, no taste whatsoever
This actually sails on open sea (hence the "very brave").

I like it, reminds me of a James Bond movie...
But what I really like is the Fisher, originally from Fairways Marine next to it. This is probably the 34-footer, but even the small 25´belongs to my favorites!
Some might think she is a Rogues as well, but not in my eyes...

Reason: Adding pict of Fisher 25...

| A Rogue by Any Other Name
You know, the kinda boats that hurt the eyes and offend your yachting sensibilities.
Not always bad boats, but one look says - not for me.
Anyway, that was the original criteria.
Add yours here today.

I originally spotted this at the Columbus Day Regatta in 2004. A few months later, I had the opportunity go onboard it at the Ft. Lauderdale Show. It was in the brokerage section at the end of the Ft. Lauderdale City Docks. This was a one-off, custom built Tempest. The captain gave me a few more details at the time, but I just can't remember past yesterday. This is very nice boat inside, but from the outside... sorry, it's a ROGUE!

Some of our regulars will recognize this. It was docked at the Las Olas Marina for a couple of years, but I haven't seen it recently. At one time it was probably considered very vogue. But today... it's a rogue.

If it reminds you of a Manta-Ray, it's because it should buried on the bottom...

This Cape Scott trawler is kinda cute, but sort of looks like it's been chasing parked cars...

It's probably sacriligous to include anything Bannenberg designed, but... what was he thinking? Christina has a beautiful interior, but with that deckhouse... she has the drag coefficient of a Kenworth.

LOL! OK... Bannenberg is off limits.
Continuing with the YachtForums round-up of ugly ducklings, may I present a boat who's BEST feature is... it's made of wood. |
